It became known that the head of the Ukrainian state, Vladimir Zelensky, signed a law depriving people’s deputies of the right to financial security. This is reported by the document, which is posted on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Thus, if the people’s deputy during the calendar month for one regular session without valid reasons does not directly participate in more than 30% of the vote when making decisions at plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada or in more than 50% of the committee’s meetings, then he will not be reimbursed for expenses associated with fulfillment of deputy powers for the corresponding calendar month.
The corresponding order will be issued by the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by decision of the committee on parliamentary ethics.
It should also be emphasized that now the reason for calculating the salary of the elected representative will be the data of his participation in no less than 70% of the votes at each plenary meeting.
