Zaporizhzhya people’s deputy Sergei Shtepa commented on the concept of dividing the Zaporizhzhya region into 5 districts.
Since some officials deliberately misinform citizens about the benefits for the cities on the basis of which the districts will be created, I explained that this does not lead to increased funding and does not provide other bonuses. Administrative services are generally not provided in the centers of the districts, but in the centers of the communities, so there will be no need to go to Polog for a passport, says Shtepa.
Also, the People’s Deputy noted that for people, the difference between dividing the region into 5 and 6 districts is the number of prefects and employees of the apparatus, on which public funds will be spent.
Do we need extra officials? I think the vast majority of the Ukrainian position on this issue is the same.
Recall that the working group of the regional state administration supported the concept of the Ministry of Regional Development for the division of the Zaporizhzhya region into 5 districts. This decision will lead to the fact that the Tokmak region will become part of the Pologovsky.
This was preceded by a concept developed by the Ministry of Regional Development for a new administrative-territorial structure of the Zaporizhzhya region, the model of which provides for five districts: Zaporizhzhya, Berdyansk, Pridneproprovsky, Melitopol and Pologovsky.
Another option for the division of the region provides for the sixth district — with a center in Tokmok.
