People’s Deputy Igor Kononenko said that he does not plan to become part of the new parliamentary list of the European Solidarity Party, former head of state Petro Poroshenko.

“I was and remain a supporter of the European and Euro-Atlantic development of the country, so I will do everything in my power to protect the choice of the Ukrainian people. I fully share the desire of the European Solidarity party to see an independent, economically prosperous Ukraine in a free family of European nations,” politician.
According to him, he sees his mission in enabling young patriots to take a more active part in the development of the country.
“Therefore, I decided to give up my place in the party list to new politicians whose biography will be written on a clean sheet, not tainted in a hybrid information war. I also want to give the opportunity to show themselves to young party members, therefore I leave party posts — this is my personal contribution to the creation of“ social elevators «in Ukraine. I believe in our youth and always ready to support them,» said Kononenko.
He stated that the future of Ukraine in the EU and NATO, stressing: «I believe that together we will go this way towards a common goal.»
