Around the same dates, the International Monetary Fund and the Ukrainian Cabinet reached the finish line in coordinating the anti-Kolomoy bill. Voting for it is one of the IMF requirements for the provision of the next tranche to Ukraine. The bill provides that the former owners of banks will not be able to regain the financial institution, even by court order, but will be able to claim damages. The document was named due to the fact that it should strengthen the position of the state in the confrontation with the former shareholder of the state-owned Privatbank Igor Kolomoisky.
