On November 11, the Central Election Commission registered Rudik as a People’s Deputy elected in the special elections on July 21 in single-member constituency No. 198.
Sergey Rudik from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took the oath of the people’s deputy of Ukraine. According to an UNIAN correspondent, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, announced that on November 11, the Central Election Commission registered Rudik as a deputy elected in the special elections on July 21 in single-member constituency No. 198. Razumkov recalled that before taking office, the deputy takes the oath before the parliament. As UNIAN reported earlier, on August 21, pursuant to these court decisions, the CEC drafted a protocol on the results of early elections of people’s deputies in constituency No. 198, according to which Rudik was elected, and on August 23, registered him.
However, on August 28, the mentioned CEC resolution of August 21 and the protocol on the election results in constituency No. 198 were finally canceled by court decisions. From October 28 to 29, the CEC conducted a re-counting of votes at such polling stations: No. 710238, 710240, 710242, 710244, 710245, 710246, 710247, 710248, 710250, 710251, 710252, 710253, 710254, 710255, 710255, 710255, 710255, 710255. 710258, 710259, 710260, 710261, 710262. As a result of the recount of votes, CEC members found certain violations of the electoral law, and they turned to the police. On November 5, the CEC set the results of early parliamentary elections in the 198th constituency. Rudyk recognized the elected People’s CEC deputy. 18 thousand 921 voters voted for him.
