According to an UNIAN correspondent, Roman Truba, director of the State Reservative Committee, said this at a briefing. “A few days ago, Zhevago was called to present suspicions. He did not appear, so the suspicion was announced in absentia. After that, investigative actions began — obtaining permission in court to detain and declaring the suspect wanted. This process has already begun. We went to court to obtain such permission, and now Zhevago has already been put on the wanted list, and measures are being taken to put him on the international wanted list, ”said the director of the State Historical Library.

Subsequently, between the Bank “Finance and Credit” and foreign banks entered into pledge agreements worth more than $ 113 million, which the Ukrainian bank vouched for the offshore company with its own funds, which were placed on correspondent accounts with foreign creditor banks. In 2015, foreign banks collected exactly $ 113 million from the accounts of Finance and Credit Bank for failure to fulfill obligations by an offshore company under loan agreements. Foreign banks wrote off the pledge immediately after the Finance and Credit Bank was declared insolvent. Zhevago is suspected under part 3 of article 27, part 5 of article 191 (the organization of embezzlement of other people’s property under the jurisdiction of an official committed by conspiracy by a group of persons in especially large amounts) and part 3 of article 209 (legalization (laundering ) proceeds of crime in especially large amounts) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
