The head of the Verkhovna Rada Energy Committee, Andrei Gerus, discussed with the Minister of Energy Alexei Orzhel the purchase of 2,000 MW of electricity from Russia. This was reported by the Observer, referring to the video that journalist Vsevolod Filimonenko published on his Facebook page.
“I’m publishing our video from the last meeting of the Rada: People’s Servants People’s Deputy Andrei Gerus did discuss with the Minister of Energy Alexei Orzhel the purchase of 2,000 MW from Russia. So we’ll continue to play,” Filimonenko signed the video in which the parliamentarian corresponded with the minister.
Recall, on September 18, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law «On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine in the Field of the Use of Nuclear Energy», in which the head of the parliament’s energy committee, Andrei Gerus, lobbied for the amendment to allow importing electricity to Ukrainian consumers under bilateral agreements.
